Terrifying Hamburger Lamp Stares at You as You Fall Asleep

lundi 1 juin 2015

You once tried to eat a hamburger, but it got away from you. It never forgot you. But that's all in the past, of course. Water under the bridge and all that. Now it just wants to be your friend. The hamburger nightlight will watch over you as you sleep. Its bright, shining teeth and unearthly eyes faintly illuminate the room. It looks at you. It remembers.

Designer Jun Takahashi unveiled the Hamburger Lamp in 2002. Now, High Snobriety warns, it's back.

11,000 Marbles

This marble run is awesome! How many should we send down this time? All of them! Well, actually they had 13,000 marbles, but only used 11,000. Did someone really count them? The action is hypnotizing.

Jelle Bakker has been building this marble run at Monkey Town, an entertainment center in Gouda, Netherlands, for a couple of months now. It just needs a little fine-tuning and it will ready for the public. (via Digg)

Fashion with a Bite: The Shark Purse

Etsy seller Iga Grygiel makes felt bags, purses, and backpacks in the shapes of animals and supernatural monsters. I especially like this one that looks like a Venus flytrap and this one that looks like Cthulhu.

But if you want sharp fashion, then place your personal items in the maw of this shark purse. At 28 inches long, it has plenty of room to swallow everything you care about and should be its own deterrent against thieves.

Fears

We carry our fears around with us everywhere we go. They can hide in the background, then overwhelm us when we least expect it, and they sometimes even comfort us. Occasionally, experience brings us new fears. That’s the subtext of this animated video made by Nata Metlukh as her graduation project at the Vancouver Film School.

(vimeo link)

So should we fight or ignore the individual fears we carry, or are they something to be embraced? I guess that would depend on how overall useful they are to us. You can see more about the project at Metlukh's Tumblr blog. -via Everlasting Blort

Weird Facts About The World's Most Popular Beers

Chances are you've never heard of the world's most popular beer, let alone tried it. The good news is that you're probably not missing much -while Snow is the most frequently sipped beer in China (and hardly available outside the country), those who have tried it say it's pretty mediocre.

And while many Americans have tried Mexico's most popular beer, Corona, they almost always drink it with a slice of lime -which is unheard of in the drink's homeland.

Woolverine - The Master Of Mutant Macrame

Woolverine by Scott Neilson

Wolverine hated traveling between dimensions for one simple reason- he never knew what he'd look like when he reached the other side. Luckily he'd crossed over with Cyclops instead of Black Cat, because that kitty wouldn't have been able to keep her claws off his wooly new form. Logan wasn't a fan of knitting or crochet, but when it came to leaving bad men in stitches he knew just how to sew up a scumbag!

Don't just wear the same old superhero shirt, bring home this Woolverine t-shirt by Scott Neilson and X out the forces of boring fashion!
