One reason it’s so important to learn world geography, national geography, and map reading is that you will be able to spot the many times that someone uses a map hilariously wrong. A list at Vox has three sections: Maps that give no information, maps that are just wrong, and maps used on TV that should have thoroughly embarrassed the graphic arts department. The map I chose to illustrate them was the one that made me laugh out loud. There were others that would have, if I hadn’t seen them before. Some of the others just made me cringe.
